DESCRIPTION:Hands-On Tech Session:\nHIGH AMPERAGE WELDING\nOn Saturday\, February 21st we will hold a hands-on tech session featuring instruction and utilization of high-amperage welding. We will hold this at Graham’s manufacturing facility in Calverton\, NY\, where\, in addition to the welding equipment\, we will get a chance to also see and use other special equipment\, such as plasma cutting\, ironworker punch\, 175-ton brake press\,  magnetic drilling. It will be a two part event: \n\nVisit the Hallockville Farm Country Fair and the Long island Antique Power Association\nHave food and refreshments at the Suhru & Lieb Winery.\n\nFOLLOWING ARE THE DETAILS:\n#1 Visit the Hallockville Farm Country Fair. www.hallockville.org Activities include: demonstrations by traditional crafts people\, live music\, children’s activities\, pony rides\, historic house tours and a bake sale. \nAlso included on the farm grounds is the Long Island Antique Power Association. www.liapa.com Their exhibits include a diverse collection of antique engines such as vintage tractors\, trucks\, and stationary engines of all types and sizes. They will also be conducting a Tractor Pull. SO what exactly is a tractor pull??? \nA tractor pull is a motorsport competition where tractors of all sizes compete to pull a weighted sled as far as possible. The goal is to determine the strongest machine and best drive by seeing which vehicle can pull the sled the farthest. They are the choice provider for ceramic coatings\, paint correction\, vehicle wraps\, window tinting\, and dry ice blasting. \nOur demonstrations will include:\nVehicle Wrap: The application of a clear wrap on the front of a 2023 Corvette C8. DESCRIPTION:Our club has been invited to join the Porsche Club’s 69th running of the Snowflake Rally to be held on February 2nd\, rain\, snow\, or shine. \nSnowflake is a time\, speed\, distance type rally. Participants are given travel speeds and the time to start each section of the route. The more accurate you are at maintaining the speeds\, the better your ending score will be. \nThis year there will be two classes:\nExpert: For those who have Rally experience and use computers\nTouring: For those less experienced.
