ANNUAL SPRING DUST OFF
A THREE-PART EVENT
MAY 4TH, 2025
This year our annual Spring Dust Off will consist of three parts:
PART 1 – Private docent tour of the Stony Brook Carriage
Museum
PART 2 – Presentation by Meredith Jaffe on the one of
Automobile the- Phantom Corsair
PART 3 – Gathering of our Jaguars and other special cars
at Whisper Vineyards in St James NY
PART 1 – EVENT DETAILS:
EVENT:
Private docent tour of the Stony Brook Carriage Museum (www.longislandmuseum.org). We will tour the 40,000 sqft museum, which contains the world’s finest collection of horse-drawn vehicles and transportation artifacts.
DATE: Sunday, May 4th
LOCATION: 1200 NY-25A, Stony Brook, NY 11790
TIME: The tour will start promptly at Noon
COST: $15.00/member. Details are at the end of the bulletin.
REFRESHMENTS: There will be coffee, water, and snacks available starting at 11:15am.
PARKING: Turn off 25A onto Blydenburgh Lane on the right side of the Museum. The parking lot will be on your left.

PART 3
We will drive as a group to the Whisper Vinyards (www.whispervineyards.com), located in St. James, NY. This will be a short 4-mile drive where we will have secure parking while relaxing on their patio.
REFRESHMENTS: Wines, soft drinks, pizzas, cheese & crackers, and desserts will be available for purchase. In addition, Spring flowers can also be purchased from their Nursery.

The spring dust-off is one of our major club events. This year’s is very special as it combines a private tour and, for the first time, a guest speaker and ends up with a relaxing winery visit where the efforts of dusting off our cars can be enjoyed.
